The Top Coat is the last essential layer in nail reconstruction with semi-permanent, gel or acrygel. Thanks to its special formulation, the top seals and protects the manicure, guaranteeing a brilliant and long-lasting result.
The Tops are divided into two main groups:
1. Top with inhibition layer: After polymerization, this type of top needs to be degreased to remove the dispersion, leaving a glossy and perfect finish. It is ideal for those who love a flawless and long-lasting shine.
2. Top without inhibition layer: This top does not need to be degreased after polymerization. Once applied, you will immediately obtain a shiny and perfect result without further steps.
The Tops can also be divided based on the presence of the UV filter:
• Top with UV filter: This type of top is especially recommended for light colors (such as pink, white), pastel and neon colors or French manicure. It protects and helps prevent yellowing of light colors. The UV filter preserves the brilliance and freshness of delicate tones.
• Top without UV filter: This top is perfect for dark colors (such as reds, blacks, greens, blues) as it does not create the bluish effect typical of tops with UV filter, maintaining the purity of dark colors intact without altering their shade.
To ensure long-lasting shine and a perfect result, it is essential to correctly follow the polymerization times:
• LED Lamp: Cure for 120 seconds.
• UV Lamp: Cure for 240 seconds.
Helpful Hint: After curing, wait 15-20 seconds before degreasing the Top or applying cuticle oil. This little step helps prevent the Top from dulling, maintaining its shine.
